What People's Say About Place

Pleasant experience. Bartender was knowledgeable. House starter/ rosemary focaccia. White bean dip. Spin basil puree. Ricotta. Refreshing. Biscuit with Apple butter that was too sweet, could’ve been great if blended with a whipped brown butter. Biscuit lacked flavor and could’ve used butter & flaky salt on top. Unremarkable. Grits- seasoned very well. Great texture. Pimento Mac Cheese. Great texture on pasta. Zero remnants of pimento peppers. Lack luster seasoning. Pan seared red snapper. Carrot yuzu puree. Mustard greens. Crispy sprouts. Fished cooked perfectly. Bitter greens pair well with sweet carrot puree. Sprouts have a nice char and not over cooked. Balanced entree.

What a gem in the Village of Ballston Spa! Nice upscale vibe with delicious food and tasty drinks. The brussel sprouts are a must! The beet salad was also incredible. The flavors! Highly recommend!

Our favorite restaurant in the area (including Saratoga). Delicious food. Amazing service. Pristine bartenders. Great specials. So many awesome food finds- Their burger is always a perfect order !

We had dinner on Saturday and it was so packed at 5 pm already. Inside the restaurant was not so spacious but still cozy and not so noisy. My husband and I had Fried chicken and Shrimp and grits, our friends Salmon and Fillet mignon from the specials. The food was all excellent! I would say my fried chicken could be the best of best in the area. The service was good too. The only reason I took one star out is the prices....l know it's worth paying for but some seemed overpriced and this is the restaurant for just special occasions.

We met friends from Saratoga for the 4th time at the Next Door Kitchen and Bar in Ballston Spa for dinner last night and once again, had a great meal and a great time. The atmosphere is fun, the bar selection extensive and as was the case previously, the meal was delicious. The salmon was great and perfectly prepared. You should give this restaurant a try if you are in the area!

This was recommended to us by a friend to come to during our visit to the area. We sat at the bar and had drinks while waiting for our table to be ready and the bartender was nice and the drinks were good that we ordered. After being sat we were quickly helped , the tomato and burrata salad was delicious. We also ordered the brussel sprouts and meatballs and they were delicious. I tried the scallops on the dinner specials list and it was very tasty as well. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing for dessert. Overall everything was excellent and we were very happy with this place and recommend it.

After HS Graduation dinner. Reservations. The overall grade was due too the Value factor. A little pricey. $16 for egg roll appetizer. Salmon was very good. No true Stout or Porter on Tap. Brussels Sprout appetizer could have had a crisp too it.

Look, I'm a guy who likes a strong, well crafted cocktail. I also like good company. I got both at Next Door Kitchen. First, don't jerk around in the front room where the amateurs go. Come along to the other side, the back bar, and belly right up and order a drink from my man Jeffrey. Jeffrey is possibly the finest bartender that's ever graced a mahogany ridge. Jeffrey mixes a cocktail like none other, and his self-effacing sense of humor and easygoing nature make Next Door Kitchen a joyful place to sip a cocktail and forget about life for a while. There's honestly nowhere I'd rather go to have a craft cocktail. And the food? Phenomenal. Is it pricey? You better believe it. But ... Sometimes.... You get what you pay for. If you're lucky. Next Door Kitchen is one of those places. I have not eaten the whole menu, but I've had the burger, I had the meatballs appetizer, we had the tuna appetizer, and I've always had an excellent meal there. One nice thing about Next Door is that when I order a burger rare? It comes out rare. Not medium rare. Not medium. But actually rare. I suppose if you want it well done they'll cook it well done for you, but I can't speak to that. So, long story short, when you walk in the door, hook a right, and go to the back bar, and you can tell Jeffrey that Phil & Colleen sent you. You won't regret it.
